On July 22nd, we had the privilege of visiting the exhibition “Colours! Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou” at the Grimaldi Forum, at the invitation of Catherine Alestchenkof, Director of Cultural Events, and with the support of the Valentin Haüy Association.

This adapted visit was a truly immersive sensory and artistic experience. Thanks to the tactile adaptations created by our association Arrimage, blind and visually impaired visitors were able to explore the evocative power of the artworks — especially those centered around the color blue — and feel the emotional strength of the pieces on display.

But it was above all the outstanding quality of the audio description that elevated the experience. The meticulous work of Marie Cambas (Cultural Attaché, in charge of audience development and mediation) and Enora Gely Hamon (Art History student intern) provided a rich, sensitive, and vivid interpretation, allowing everyone to grasp the artists’ universes with depth and emotion.

Arrimage’s tactile adaptations are available at the Grimaldi Forum’s reception desk for the entire duration of the exhibition. Of special note: our tactile adaptation of a detail from Kandinsky’s “Blue Sky” is displayed right next to the original masterpiece.

A heartfelt thank you to the Grimaldi Forum and its entire team for their warm welcome, attentiveness, and deep commitment to cultural accessibility.
